Corse Vermentino

Perfectly pleasant, well balanced, bright. Will go well with Chinese food.

Floral, vegetal, almond, Apple and lemon.

This Corsican wine’s delightful nose has the sea spray mist in it that I love in Vermentino from the Italian isles. It also has a healthy scent of lanolin and a trace of orange peel. Minerals are abundant on the palate, as is a fresh level of acidity. The finish holds those savories for quite awhile. The wine is simply made for oysters or calamari or scungili, grilled to perfection.

That's right my fellow oenophiles: I am thoroughly enjoy a Phinney wine right now. Not the most classic Corsican Vermentino, but refreshing and low alcohol.

Very much of Corse

Corsican grapes. Hints of honey, vanilla, crisp clean taste. Slight salinity due to closeness to coast. Label is a depiction of a knife that Phinney gave to his wife.

Yeh okay I will drink it any summer day. Low acid event, lots of citrus, and won't knock you out @ 12%. Don't look down your nose at me. I bet you had a couple of crocks of Lancer's in your Dad's Matador. Am I right?

From Corsica, an island south of France and west of Italy. The grape is vermentino. Mineral nose, slight hint of flowers, can't tell the fruit... maybe pear, yellow apple. Excellent wine for under $20 price. I am in love with Corsica!

Big floral nose with enjoyable honeysuckle. Citrus, pear and stone fruit notes
