A few wines from last week’s 4th Friday event!
In line with their typical style, this was rich and decadent but had an incredibly long finish to it. Dark chocolate, blue and black fruits and baking spices on the nose. Dense on the palate with some added licorice, baked plum and a nice balance of oak without being overwhelming. Fine grain tannins. Nice.

Deep purplish ruby red. A bit tight on the nose with dark gravel, baking spices and cassis. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus bodied. Balanced acidity with layers of graphite, blackberries, currants, Asian five spice, licorice and some blueberries. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2037.

Jul 29th, 2019Deep and dark ruby red. Very young but powerful nose. Pencil shavings, cassis, sweet spices, cinnamon, dark cocoa, blackberries and dark gravel. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Seems like a touch of chalk with lots of black fruits, spices, and bit of minerality. Long and lingering finish. Drink from 2018 till 2038. (93+)
