Top Notes For
Sipping Fine Wine

Blend of 50% Grenache and 50% Shiraz, deep Ruby with aromas of red fruits and herb spice. On the palate flavors of raspberry, plums and currants with herbs and spice. Fine tannins with slight grippy edge, medium+ finish ending with fruit and nutty herb spice. Good now!

At the family GSM Tasting/get together. All wines tasted single blind.

Complex nose, lots of wet river stone scents, mouthfilling, lots of length, lowish acids.

Really nice wood on the nose; stinky with moss, forest floor. Hint of dry fruit like Shiraz raisins. Pallet is exceptionally ripe raspberry with smooth finish and a hind of woody spice. Very affordable and elegant dinner wine.

Wonderful red berry nose with a hint of barnyard. Mild tannins, with long and smooth finish. A little tart, but rich and creamy dark berries. It's yummy this!

Cowyard nose and some feral notes with sweet red fruits. Raspberry initially dominates on the palate but after decanting and a couple of hours the palate diminished with M minus tannins and intensity. Despite this I have always thought McLaren Vale better suited to Grenache than the Barossa.

The fruit became more stewed and decadent, yet more acidic on the palate than I remember. Went great with our Pumpkin-Chipotle Spaghetti Squash dinner and dark chocolate dessert!

My favorite from d'Arenberg. Nothing quite like the original.

Starts with a bit of meaty funk on the nose. Black fruit follows and subtle black pepper. Rich plum and blackberry. Raisinish finish. Tannin is ripe and polished. Yummy
