Vino Biologico Rossese di Dolceacqua

Refreshing and cleansing! Light, crystalline color. Nose has grapefruit pith, crushed rock, and sweet/tart pomegranate juice. On the palate, there’s some crisp red fruit initially, but then it gives way to crushed stone and a refreshing lightly bitter note. Great acids and the texture is light and fluid. Zero tannins. I see Rossese so infrequently that I snap it up when I do. Fun and unique.

Elderberry and white pepper, with some plum and ripe tart cherry. Not quite the structure of some of its rossese peers but still, this is lithe and focused and so tasty.

Unique and hard-to-find varietal from far-western Liguria on the French border. Cherry, black currant, black pepper, dried thyme, wild strawberry, citrus, mineral. Medium–light bodied, nice a little chilled. From Fermented Grapes.

Great fruity bright start to mid. A little too funky in finish for me

Light red with notes of black pepper and cherries... Smooth, elegant in the finish... Drinks like a Pinot Noir.... Delicious

Artificial strawberry candy, mixed berry tea, white pepper, dried roses. Sharp acid/mild narrow smooth velvet tannins, light bodied, juicy texture, crisp peppery/slightly floral finish. Delicate, drinks more like a white wine, similar to schiava.

Very good relatively light bodied wine. Black pepper, light tart cherry. Versatile.
