En France Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay
Clean nose, light green apple, oak but not heavy. Creamy on the palate, some minerality. Plan to finish this bottle tomorrow, based on other reviewers I should expect enhancement.
Thanks @Lyle Fass but I'm going to stick with the La Verchère VV, and cellar them. This was an interesting comparison to the Grgich Chardonnay (2012) tonight, more noticeable oak on this bottle, albeit not distracting.
Day Two: Still creamy oak, but the minerality and acid seem to have really picked up.

May 22nd, 2017Lovely clean pure nose. Palate has tons of minerals and seems closed a bit upon opening. Good depth, a little foursquare. Nice but needs air. Will come back to.
Day 2 update- nose is still anonymously mineral but nice. Palate is dense and rich and much better than yesterday with some green apple fruit and mineral sweetness. Killer.

Forward minerality, light oak, the aroma is not as complex as their other wines

Dec 1st, 2020En France shows less acidity and minerality than their other wines, but is superior to most other wines in the appellation where many of them get too ripe or even worse too sharp.

Jun 9th, 2020At first pass this was not all that interesting. Wine white, ya know. Then I went back to it the next day and a little warmer than cellar temp. Whilst the aromatics are subtle, the creamy texture and pure chard character came out.

Jun 19th, 2017This punches well above its weight. Tasted blind I'd be thinking village or higher Meursault. Mineral drenched white flowers, offset by moderate oak. Tons of dry extract.
