Great floral and red berry notes, carries through to palate along with savory characters of dried herbs and leather. A less structured and more quickly approachable Barolo - good value for the cost.

The origins of the Damilano family company dates back to over a century ago, when Guiseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners, started to grow and make wine from his own grapes. Dark Ruby with juicy red fruit aromas and floral scents. On the palate red berry flavors with a nutty character and pepper spice. Well balanced and basic with fine smooth tannins very food friendly on a medium finish.

Pretty fine example of Nebbiolo generica..and I say that with love. This was a fantastic visit in Piedmont. Paired great with Pad Thai and Gyoza tonight.

What a sick bargain this is. Lighter and more fruity than its more famous and expensive counterparts, this is a wine that still gives glimpses of what makes Nebbiolo great. Nice structure with tangy red fruits out front buttressed by big, grippy tannins that dry out your mouth in a good way. Wonderful value here.
