Sipping Fine Wine

The origins of the Damilano family dates back to over a century ago, when Guiseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners, started to grow and make wine from his own grapes. Medium Ruby with aromas of fresh berry fruits and generous spice. On the palate this medium body wine shows flavors of juicy cherry and blackberry with notes of citrus and vanilla spice. Light tannin structure, lively acidity, medium ending with fruit finish. Nice value. Drink now, no aging benefit.

This is great for what it is: not a big Brunello but a really lovely dinner wine that will play a great supporting role behind Wednesday pasta. Nicely structured fruit, tannins and acidity make it a great food wine.

Bursts out of the glass, very fresh, fruity & joyful, with dark berries, cherries, a flowery note and a touch of graphite.
On the palate this is very juicy, with fresh red fruit, a dash of cherry. The acidity lively, the tannins crunchy.
This is such a joy to drink right now, but there’s some depth to it as well. And so food friendly.
Brilliant value, too! No wonder it sold out so quickly.
