Nice Rioja. Very polished and not as rough around the edges as what I expect with Rioja.

Wait another 3 years of bottle age before I’d pull the cork again.

Founded in 1879, named after the winery's initials, but a mistake - the 'V' was written as a 'U' - led to the creation of the Cune label. A blend of 85% Tempranillo with 15% Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, dark Ruby with aromas of ripe red and black fruits with a earthy woody nose. On the palate raspberry and blackberry flavors with vanilla spice, licorice and notes of cacao. Well balanced with lively acidity, soft tannins will only get better, long ending with sweet fruit and earthy spice character. Nice! Tasting Sample!

A blend of 85% Tempranillo, rest Garnacha, Mazuelo & Graciano, 18 months of barrel aging, medium Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of fresh cherry and raspberry with espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Soft ripe tannins, lively acidity on a long finish ending with an earthy character. Nice value!

Great value Reserva. Lots of oak ( vanilla) influence. Nice balance, body and acidity. Very enjoyable fruit notes of cherry plum blackberry red fruit. Ther is an earthy side with black fruit cassis rounding out the flavor profile. Suggested

Wonderful Tempranillo. Genius finish. I paid $15 at Costco, worth twice the price.

Medium bodied, light grainy tannins and balanced acid. Very good harmony, good pure red berry, vanilla and a meaty finish. Classic, but with depth, with dried fruit notes, more umph than the Oro.

Wine Spectator 93 pts. I really like this wine, fairly light for a Tempranillo. Nicely structured. A great quaffer. Takes some time to open up.
