Cristom
Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Lean but complex. Cran/raspberry, violet, forest floor and a good kind of vegetal complexity. Firm medium tannin and long finish. Delicious, classic style. Would love to revisit a few years down the road.

Produced since 1994 and named for Mt. Jefferson in the Cascade Range that is east of Cristom Vineyards and visible from their tasting room. From a blend of estate vineyard grapes, the wine is Ruby with red berry flavors and spice. On the palate strawberry flavors with tea leaves and cola notes, fresh and vibrant. The fruit carries through the finish on a medium length ending. Tasting Sample.

Aug 29th, 2016What a delicious and aromatic Pinot noir. Speaks to oregon's elegance and nuance. The nose is so gorgeous with floral tones, market cherry, pomegranate, and ethereal tones that I can't even describe. The palate is fresh, lean, and vibrant, with pomegranate and a touch of cinnamon spice. Cranberry on the finish. This wine gave me an experience - something wine should do, but hasn't lately. Phenomenal value for the money, showing the vintage, lean but precise and edgy.

Jul 13th, 2016The cuvee is always lovely. Not too in your face but great body and balanced earthiness.

Feb 2nd, 2019One of the better wines I can purchase at my local grocery when wine shop isn’t open. Good Oregon Pinot. Not the best I’ve ever had but will purchase again on a Monday.
