Thank you @CraigCamp! Lovely new chapter in the Cornerstone story. Edgy balance countered by richness. Rare on this coast.

The 2012 Conerstone Chardonnay exemplifies great varietal typicity—this is classic Willamette Valley Chard, and nicely done too. Fresh aromas of pears, yellow-skinned apples, lemon zest, and toasted hazelnuts are nicely woven into this well-balanced white. The oak is very integrated as well, it’s not at all over blown, and a lively burst of acidity, redolent of lime skins and minerals leads into a long, 30+ second finish. 13.5% ABV | Sample

Smells like a gümmi party, initially. Powdered inner tube. Subsides later to become a bit tropical, but still that touch of Vulcan. Really does keep it interesting. Python-like taper into a bulbous, creamy fat-ball of lemon coated young coconut but still with a stony, almost sun-bleached coral center. Found this one different than most offerings, walking the line between styles, but leaning towards natural. Don't mistake me, there is definitely malo-tasticness taking place, but there is a big backbone of acidity to hang it on.

Cornerstone's 2012 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is generously styled, with a perfumy and overtly expressive nose of rose petals and anise inlaid by roasted strawberry, black cherry and blackberries. On the palate, its got depth, dimension and power to spare. Fine, dusty tannins and medium acidity frame out supple black and red fruit that gracefully tapirs to a lengthy finish. Really lovely, and perhaps more reminiscent of cool climate California Pinot Noir than one from Oregon. 14.3% ABV | Sample

Chardonnay 2011 Wilamette Valley - lemony, seashell nose with nice minerals, but holding something back. Pine note as well. Great acidity on the palate, palate cleansing actually, with nice balance but a touch of acrid disjointed flavors on the back upon opening which I am sure will integrate with time. Will check back throughout day.

A perfect example of why Oregon is steadfastly becoming world renowned for Chardonnay. Gorgeous star fruit, honeysuckle, orange blossom and spice on the nose. Extremely well balanced and lush on the palate. Absolutely alluring, one sip will never be enough as it coats the palate with juicy goodness. A truly beautiful Chardonnay.

Bright yellow apple fruit. Hints of lychee, cinnamon and clove. Round mouth feel, medium weight, apple and ripe pears, transition to a old world style finish. There is a smooth creamy side to the texture, without the flavor of oak. Drink now.
