Garys' Santa Lucia Highlands Syrah

Bright ruby with a sweet perfume of cherry cola, cassis, blueberries and a hint of olive tapenade. Brilliant acidity with round lush flavors of blackberries, fresh figs, candies violets, Indian spices and meat juices. The finish was long, smooth and supple with hints of smoke, cinnamon and gravel. Despite a crumbled cork, this wine was seriously fantastic!

Just terrific stuff

Dense notes of cocoa and leather. Still has blackberry fruit and a bit of tannin. From a half bottle.

Roasted fruit, muddled texture and palate.

That was fun. Stinky, jerky, roasted, dirt. It was like a Chapoutier.

Blackberry cassis leather blueberry. Awesome. Tannic. Opened up delicious. Pretty big. I love this shit. Opened 1/11/15. Had it with stroganoff. Bomb.

Brilliant. Olives and cured meats. That's a prime Northern Rhone from the Central Coast.
