After cooking most of the day, this was calling. One of my favorite Barolo producers. Double decanted. It was everything it’s cracked up to be. Elegant. Complex. Easy and suggestive. Just a pleasure.

Pronounced nose of Juicy red plums, red cherries, strawberry, raspberry and cranberry, rose hips, dust ... fresh herbs and mint then licorice. Med+ acid, medium body with smooth silky integrated tannins. Medium finish but overall so incredibly weightless yet with so much character... showed even better the second night!
What is so impressive is how refreshing and lifted this is amongst so many darker ready wines from this warm vintage!!!

Lamb fat melting onto hardwood charcoal. Red fruited, long, polished, very fine tannins.

Steal the show at a Dolcetto night. Gorgeous perfumed nose with rose, tar and black tea leaves. Silky tannin, I mean real silky. Couldn’t believe this structure belongs to a 2014 Barolo. Approachable already but please drink very slow.

Far, far too young, but the potential is clear and worthy of the hype. Still enjoyable and expressive through the wall of youthful tannin.
