Opened a few hours before our meal; no formal notes. This is the second time I’ve had the good fortune to drink the 2012 Barolo in the last two years and it remains a beauty in her prime with gorgeous red fruits, roses, hot metal, mushrooms and orange zest. Fabulous structure. Finish is long and saline. No sign of letting up anytime soon and looking back at my previous notes, I can't say there has been too much in the way of evolution either. Stunning pairing with Morgan Ranch filet. Grazie Tim!

Riserva speciale. Some tawny color. A bit of VA/ brightness, underneath a lush but mature soft cherry, thyme and occasional blasts of younger fruit. Some hints of spice, cinnamon, dried roses, black pepper. Lovely long perfectly resolved and soft fruit with an undertow of acidity and dried wood. Subtle and delicious.

Вино рубинового цвета с гранатовым краем. Ароматика спелой клубники, малины, ежевики, Роза и пионы, лёгкий тон ванили. Во вкусе те же цветы и ягоды дополняют оттенки чёрного чая и гвоздики. Приятная освежающая кислотность, достаточно заметные танины, но хорошо интегрированы в вино. Лёгкое элегантное тело.
В целом, это Элегантный вариант Бароло, сейчас им можно наслаждаться, но я бы подержала ещё, чтобы смягчить танины, привести в больший баланс.
А так, очень хорошо)

The wine is dry, Medium+ acidity, quite refreshing, medium+ tannins, medium alcohol, medium- body. Medium+ Intense flavor: strawberry, blackberry, roses, tea leaves, cloves, vanilla. Medium finish.
Very good. Drink now, but better to hold.
