Barolo Nebbiolo

So good. Wait, is Delectable back? Why is this working?

Mid crimson in colour. More a drink now style of Barolo - only 10 years old - no need to wait 20 years for this Barolo. Red fruited - raspberry and cherry. Soft tannins. Great with home made pasta. Will probably have my last one in 12 months.

Textbook. Cherry sauce, new leather, violets and rosewood, silky tannins with some savory and earthy qualities thrown in.

As good as expected

Opened a few hours before our meal; no formal notes. This is the second time I’ve had the good fortune to drink the 2012 Barolo in the last two years and it remains a beauty in her prime with gorgeous red fruits, roses, hot metal, mushrooms and orange zest. Fabulous structure. Finish is long and saline. No sign of letting up anytime soon and looking back at my previous notes, I can't say there has been too much in the way of evolution either. Stunning pairing with Morgan Ranch filet. Grazie Tim!

A lighter, elegant take on barolo. Really good.

Soulful and got better over time. Candied dark fruit, tobacco and spice. Really elegant.
