Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Oooph. Much better than the last time I tried it. The 2020 is incredible.

Good but not as electric as I want it to be at this price point.

Merlot? I think so, with a ripe, red fruited noat and a fleshy, easily approachable texture. Delicious, but not very complex. Gift from a neighbor.

Clove, VA, mint, sandalwood, tart cranberry, raspberry, tomato leaves, sanguine, high acid, med+ tannins.

What can I say about brunello. Always so amazing.

Coffee, leather, blackberry

Solid. Nice raspberry. Big for the price point.

Sweet plum, wet potting soil, vanilla, cinnamon, smooth tannins yet structured and balanced. A nice gift from our neighbors who stopped by for some Christmas night hors d’oevres.

Spectacular, wonderful, awesome Brunello. Truly great. Rich, spicy and complex. Dark fruit abounds - plum skins and blueberry with cinnamon and nutmeg notes. Some dark currants and great earth notes. Top 10 wine. Brought this one back from Tuscany.

Lovely, medium weight Brunello that is drinking very well at age 12+. Juicy red cherries, red currants, and dried thyme are followed by light tannins in the finish. Less drying or acidic than some of its peers, which makes it especially easy to enjoy.
