Pleasantly surprised by how delicious this is. Dusty cranberry, leather, tobacco. While cluster…maybe? Great acid and a savory note

Deep, vivid garnet. Assertive cherry, boysenberry and incense aromas are complemented by suggestions of oak spices, cola and smoky minerals. Taut and focused on entry and then broader in the midpalate, offering red and blue fruit preserve, cola and vanilla flavors and a touch of exotic spices. Shows impressive energy and spicy lift on the persistent finish, which is shaped by youthfully chewy tannins. 29% new French oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, February 2022)

Ruby with elegant red fruit aromas and gentle floral spice. Flavors of fresh cherry and strawberry with notes of white pepper and licorice. Soft tannins on a lingering finish ending with juicy fruit and mineral notes. Very Nice! Tasting Sample.

White pepper on the nose, with cherry and subtle whiff of mushroom. Lush red fruit up front with fresh herbs and a racy finish. Solid

Also very nice but different in quality. Soft nose ( suggesting a soft pallet), but in fact the compexity was in the taste. Poperie on the nose, with sweet luxardo cherries and anise spices on the pallet, mineral on the finish. Way to early to be enjoying this one, needs time.

Colene Clemens 2011 Adriane Pinot Noir. A little toasty with some pepper and spice. Love it

2021 opened May 2023. Hay and clover on the nose. Not much going on on the front of the palate—but maybe just a hint of unripe cherries. Light to medium tannic structure with lots of bitter, high notes beginning on the mid palate and peeking at the finish. And It has a long sour finish. Sort of like what you get from guzzling orange juice. I’ve been suitably humbled by my previous review, so I’m going to cork this up and check it out tomorrow to see if it improves. But right now, I give it a 8.7. Colleen Clemens has done much better with some of his other wines. This seems a little below their par.
