A bit too sweet brut for me. Otherwise nice goldish color and refreshing aroma.

Basic cava - makes a lovely aperitif with a small spoon of crème de mûre sauvage

When I see bottles of Codorníu on the bottlo shelves it brings back great memories of visiting the Codorníu Cava house in Spain on one of our day trips from Barcelona. We had to run between Freixenet and Codorníu just to make our tour appointment, read all about it here -> http://travellingcorkscrew.com.au/a-visit-to-the-spanish-cava-caves/

This Spanish Cava (sparkling wine) is a bright shiny yellow on the eye with a nice fizz to it. On the nose I pick up whiffs of cheesecake, citrus, poached pear and floral notes. On the palate it's crisp, refreshing and incredibly easy drinking. There's no doubt about it - it's my go-to $10 bubbles!

Don't forget, wine is subjective. All opinions are based on my own taste buds
