Apr 27th, 2024The rule of thumb when cooking with wine is: if you wouldn't drink it, then don't ruin your food with it! If you didn't catch my blog post on the weekend, I cooked an epic meal with this port wine: travellingcorkscrew.com.au/blog/cooking-with-port-show-dad-how-important-he-is-on-fathers-day
And here's what it was like, sans food:
Blackcurrant colour with caramel, leather and liquorice notes on the nose. In the mouth 👄 it has a lovely kick of sultanas, prunes and cigars. For $30 it went down like a treat and was great to cook with! Also it was also awesome with strong cheese 🧀 like Stilton 👌
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #sample #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
