Quintessentially Provencial and substantial - made for a meal, not a pool. I live for that bitter herbal fennel apple note that seems to dance from Marsanne to Mourvèdre. Maybe terroir is a thing.
2017 from Clos Sainte Magdeleine has aromas of anise, fennel, celery seed, and apple seed. It’s rich and viscous with acid and flavors of peach, cantaloupe, and honeydew.

Lovely Provençal character and heft; shared characteristics with its more famous neighbor Bandol. Fantastic honey-lemon accord, herbal top notes, a dash of salinity, and lovely mouthfeel. A delight.
