Petit Clos Famille Bourgeois Sauvignon Blanc

Fresh and clean. Sancerre producers in NZ are a good idea. Just missing the chalkiness of Sancerre.

Tognights wine is the 2018 Clos Henry Vineyard Clos Petit Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, NZ. Made with organically grown grapes.

On the nose is citrus notes, lime, melon, grapefruit, nectarines, white peach skins, kiwi fruit and minerality.

On the palate you will find lime, tangerine, green apple, grapefruit, celery, saline, wet concrete and Loire minerality.

This wine is medium in body with good refreshingly good balance and electric medium + to high acidity that folds right into a fresh crisp long finish. Citrus nose. Nice tartness. Definitely not your typical NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Much more balanced and a longer complex finish. Lime and apple with hints of salinity.

Surprisingly complex and subtle for the price. Passion fruit, melon, hint of jalapeño/green pepper. Atypical.

Surprising golden color. Effusive nose of rinds grapefruit & tangerine and muted honey, body medium of lime & grapefruit and minerals with long pleasant finish.

Not a typical Marlborough. Reona also liked.

Sad this is my final btl. Lovely sauv blanc with loads of gooseberry, grass, black pepper, and soft tarragon. On the palate, lovely acidity, gooseberry, wet stone, sweet green pepper and a tangy finish.

This is a much better NZ SB than the Nautilus from last night. I would get this one again. One from Palisades Wine.
