This is a really classy CDR. It's got the classic Southern Rhone nose I love: loads of dark, stony, iodine-tinged minerality on top of dark blackberry extract. Mouthfilling, clingy, loads of dry extract, but with nice balance. Great value at $15 (Balducci's in Mclean, VA.)

Lots of bright raspberry fruit let you know this is Grenache, the garrigue puts you in the Rhone. Nice enough, but noticeable heat on the finish makes me look elsewhere at this price point.
