My oh my. This is why I loved aged Rhone wines. garrigue, kirsch, and surprisingly integrated tannins and alcohol. Slight gamey nose. More refined and delicate than most southern Rhone wines.

Tannins smoothed out - smells and tastes just past prime - completely dead on day 2... Drink up. No need to decant

Very dark purple with orange rim variation. Medium viscosity, no sediment. Spicy, fruity nose with dark, caramelized raspberries and black berries, white pepper, some vanilla. Palette sees the expected alcohol/spicyness, pretty balanced and rounded tannins, medium acid, not much fruit on palette. Medium finish.

Very very high QPR. Thank you #garagiste for an excellent wine. Deep in color. Definitely at its peak or just past but looks to hold on for a bit longer. Rich round. Blackberries. Yum.
