Nov 19th, 2015Brief decant then enjoyed with a duck breast au poivre. Old school, un-spoofy Bordeaux. Still young, showing cassis, cedar, green olive, a touch of saddle leather. Missing toasty oak, gobs of any damn thing, fruit munitions, or any sort of jacked jelly donut bullshit. Glad this is still made. 1000 Points. Re-buy? Damn right! I'd hold and wait for it to resolve more. Oh yeah, listening to "Hunky Dory." Goes really well with 'Andy Warhol.'

Jun 12th, 2015Please tell me this is the direction Bordeaux is headed again. Definite and expressive tones of green, vegetal cab franc, that pencil box woodiness we always hear about and hope to find, and a touch of barnyard rafters. Still super simple and straightforward too.
