Two bottles opened. Both the same… Regal tawny color. Mostly transparent. Fragrant herbal nose. Notes of ripe red fruit, herbs de Provence, dark dry earth and some fragrant flowers. Well balanced in the mouth. This wine is in a perfect spot, drinking today at peak.

Fully mature and integrated CNDP, it’s heavily spiced, earth-driven, progressed fruit framed by savory elements. Prune, stewed cherry, strawberry confiture, tobacco, leather, forest soil, hung meat, cinnamon, dried herbs.

Dark tawny and opaque. Herbal nose. Notes of herbs de Provence, wispy dark fruit, white pepper, some old wood and a little kirsch. Great balance in the mouth. I would call this at peak and doubt it improves with more age, but no need to be in hurry to drink these. Plenty of life ahead of it.

A mixture of game, black pepper, herbs and spices, black cherries on the nose. Very pronounced and fragrant nose. A rush of game/animal, followed by sweet dried cherries on the palate. Very juicy with great acidity. Long finish - nice viscosity.

Tawny to the edge, mostly transparent. Nice soft regal nose. Notes of dark fruit, herbs de Provence, plum and gravely soil. Nicely integrated fruit and structure. Pretty good juice.

2001 vintage. Nice fill and great cork. Opened and decanted. Expected sed but fairly minimal compared to a Cabernet-based wine. Beguiling nose. Light-medium body that had dropped any extra fat long ago. Spiced plum definitely afoot. Tasted after 15 mins open, 1 hour open, 1.5 hrs open and 8 hrs open. Remarkably consistent. Likely another half-decade at this plateau before dropping down. 10.16.24.
