Another age-defying beauty, years to go. Great nose of red flowers and black cherry. Delicate and powerful on the palate, black earth tones and nice wood still evident. Beautiful.

Stupidly rare and shockingly ready to drink for an 04! This is classic Brunello.

Very tight on open, but with air and coming to room temp this opened up beautifully. Great combination of high floral notes and tarry bass notes. Delicious, complex and outstanding.

Cherry and light camphor on the nose, it opens like a mature burgundy, Chambolle Musigny to be precise. I absolutely love this kind of flower/mature black fruit. On the palate, a bit tired, there is something missing in the mid-palate but I'm being bitchy about it.... A brilliant wine from a vintage that is really not up to the hype IMHO.

Maybe prefer 2007 Pianrosso to this Riserva, but very close. A beautiful mouthfeel and smoothness.

Good concentration and typicty of the grape variety and the region. An excellent example of well-balanced fruit, acidity, body and tannins for those who are experiencing this type of wines of the first time

Fantastic. A brick red in the glass. Nose is refined with dust, roses, red fruits and tar. Palate is fairly high-toned, with graphite and dark cherries. Nice finish and in a great place now.
