Just an incredible expression of natural wine. Handpicked, destemmed, old vine zweigelt and cab franc (50-50). Lightly pressed, no racking, no filtering and no sulphur added. Initial brettyness blows off in 1-2 minutes what folllows is waves of ethereal dried cherry, raspberry, Szechuan peppercorn, roasted pepper and beetroot. The pallet is reminiscent of pomegranate, cherry and humid earth. Otherworldly balance between the acid and tannins lead you gently into a finish that lingers long enough to make you smirk. Delicious and heady, but not heady enough to remove you from the pleasure of drinking it.

Austrian case bottle #3: this is a natural and I believe made without sulfur. Blend of Cabernet franc and zweigelt. Reminiscent of a lambic beer, with sour red fruit and almost effervescent texture. Very light. Not complex but a good quaff. Grips on the finish.

50/50 old vine Zweigelt / Cab Franc.
Youthful, aromatic, aetheric.
Fresh black currant, black currant leaf, a touch of black cherry & dark plum plus a underscore of wet gravel, graphite, cedar wood.
Impeccably poised on the palate, elegant yet juicy, the tannins nicely mellowed, the acidity so fresh and the fruit still so pure and with great depth. Not flashy nor showy, but sooo good!
A brilliant wine!

Beautifully made natural red blend - predominantly Cab Franc. Ever so slightly funky (in a good way) on the nose, vibrant and lively, with Cab Francy rusticity in the glass. A winner!
