Just the ticket, fresh, bright, cleansing red, so lucky to find a red on a wine list that complements food (always a relief--how ironic)

Sep 21st, 2013Dark garnet/Medium ruby color. Bright aromas of ripe red cherries, earth and baking spices. Just a hint of Brett. Cherries also fill the palate along with notes of plum, minerals, black olives and dried herbs. Faint touch of vanilla on the medium finish. Bright acidity and light tannins. Nicely aged.

Sep 28th, 2023Pepper, cardboard, spices (vanilla scent vs wild) and ripe black berries which are slowly fading away. The 12 month aging in barriques pays off right now, 8 years after, giving a full-bodied wine with fuzzy molten tannins, a warm albeit dry palate. Lingers endlessly on the tongue, between the teeths. Made to last.
