Solid. Hit and miss with this winery. I've liked it 2/3 times I've tried it. This 2007 vintage is a good one.

It's time for my Friday's Cabernet fix. This time it's a Napa Valley Cab.

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose of black currants, blueberries, sweet cherries, sweet strawberries, earth, vanilla, light wood, wet leaves, light bell pepper, black pepper and dark coffee.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs, smooth and elegant.

Dry on the palate with black currants, cherries, plums, green pepper, chocolates, tobacco, earth, vegetables, graphite, spices, bitter herbs and black pepper.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a lovely aged Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Showing a very smooth and elegant mouthfeel, with nice complexity and still has some vegetable notes. Well balanced with a nice bite at the ending.

As an eight year old, it is drinking great now, and will be better in the next few years.

Wine Enthusiasts 92 points.

Needs an hour to open up properly, but nice right out of the bottle.

I paired it with heavy appetizers.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$130

Primarily black cherry, plum with mild menthol tobacco leaf in a cedar box. Mold structure with a better finish.

Amazing, lots of black fruit with a smooth finish. Classic Napa Cabernet that will only get better with age. This is well worth it

Garnet/black center. Nose of cocoa and truffles. A weighty wine that moves around the palate with determination, with flavors of dark cherry, plum, and clove

8 years old, well kept. Cork looked good. Very smooth, flavorful. No bite, very soft tannins, all on the finish. Delicious

In my opinion the lushness of this wine competes with many double in price. Beautiful.
