1995 vintage. On the river near St. Estephe; very firm when young but ages well. 54% Merlot 48% cab, rest CF. Found it austere, but we determined it was bottle variation - the rest of the group loved it.

Black cherries, blackberries, currant and vanilla with mineral freshness and hint of barrel spice. Full-bodied and surprisingly sweet fruit compared with other vintages. Haut-Medoc is present but hard to detect.

Dark rubi robe, nose of blackcurrant, top soil notes and hints of anise, pepper and asian spices. Medium bodied, tamed tanins and really good if not very complex. Great bottle now and no rush. We bought it for a song couple of years after it came out and is one of our best ROI in the cellar :)
