Jul 13th, 2021The clay & limestone soils of Languedoc-Roussilon develop this soft and rich blend of 70% Syrah, 20% Grenache, 8% Mourvèdre, 2% Carignan. The Château Puech-Haut - Tête de Bélier red offers lots of black fruit, minerality with herbs on the finish. A nice surprise!

Dec 1st, 2020Fruit forward, 🍒, raspberry, minerals, soil. Smooth drinking, rounded off with some tannins on this young wine. My bro brought it in from Laungdoc and it is a nice rep for the region, albeit on the pricier side for this super value region. I had Puech-Haut when visiting Montpelier years ago so it brought back some great memories.

Jan 5th, 2019This is a beautiful, classic Languedoc red wine. The nose is bold and fruit-forward with notes of stewed plums, blackberries with a hint of smoke and earth. The palate is soft and supple with just enough acidity to hold everything together. Flavors of plum, dark berries, earth, violet and a touch of leather lead to soft, silky tannins. The finish is long and plush with lots of fruit and just a touch of spice. A wonderful wine. Perfect with a boeuf bourguignon.

Feb 8th, 2018Dark fruits and some medicinal notes on the nose. Smooth in the mouth, but slightly low acidity and oak treatment pull down the overall impression.

Oct 2nd, 2017Even if it is too young this 2014 presents very good! Spicy on the nose powerful but well balanced with silky tanins. Of course waiting 3 or 4 years will be better but really nice Wine.
