Nice , chewy red from a suburban property just outside of bdx. Dark fruited and dense, with a mouthful of plum and cassis, along with a dash of black olive, gravel, and burly, but ripe, tannin. Earthy finish. Nicely done, especially for the vintage.

Finally, after hours in the decanter it is peaking. While it is still quite lean, the plentiful gripping tannin has softened considerably and now the hidden fruit is showing fresh and lively flavours and a distinct minerality. Up until this point I was not enjoying it, however it was enjoyable reaching this point ;) Great!

Meaty aromas of sausage and truffle followed with a palate of forest floor, graphite, cassis, and pomegranate. Good structure and length with the light tannins. Drink now over the next 2 years.

First taste of '12 BDX. Soft and pretty but still structured. More old school styled.
