This blew my mind too, witnessed it slip in my glass and totally fade away. Wouldn’t have happened to a 1982

Sep 30th, 2015Lacks the power you'd expect from Mouton but still classic nose and palate. Would want more richness even with 32 years.

Almost 100% Cabernet and a very substantial, intense, nearly opaque wine that I found to be rather one-dimensional by comparison to its more complex neighbor, the '83 Margaux. Plenty of stuffing left at over 30 years of age with residual tannins that will no doubt keep it going another 10 years.
