Dustiness and blackberry brambles. A touch of smoke. Palate is full of fruit blue and black, perfect tannins and lovely but restrained acidity. The 2016 is young but has beautiful gravel and smoke. Palate weight is so balanced. Finish is so clean and mouthwatering. One of the greatest wines I’ve ever had.

Just a special experience. The nose was powerful and dynamic evolving beautifully over 30 minutes. A smokey phase, a pine phase, and a strong floral phase. The palate was balanced and smooth. The fruit was dead but resembled fruit leather. Two bottles opened, one had grip left, the other didn't. #moutonrothschild #grandcruclassé #2ndgrowth #bordeaux #pauillac #1928 #ctbucklinwine

'82 first growths still show dense structure with fruit still lingering about.

A monumental wine--majestic in its power and balanced elegance. A beautiful nose of black earthen an black fruit tones, rich and voluptuous on the palate and long and rewarding on the finish.

Decanted for four hours. Massive on opening. Finally began to loosen up.

Weird over-roasted fruit and rotten bell peppers, and almost no texture, zero midpalate
