Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Really enjoyed this Bordeaux. Dark fruits, spices, pepper and leather. Would hold up nicely to a steak.

Strong effort on the new vintage.

This took about 30 minutes to wake up and then it shut down after about 2 hours. Medium intensity with nice complexity. Ripe black fruit and graphite. Structure was beginning to fade on palate. Absolutely delicious. Upon opening, supple, fruit driven aromas and flavor dominate. Charred oak, red fruits, very even-keeled consistency. With some time and air, dirty, dusty, earthy flavors upstage the previous incarnation. Forest floor pronounced mint, tannins that support rather than take over, crushed stone, chalky, almost like a burnt, bitter vanilla quality? Completely over delivers for the price. Complex, transcendent, and captivating stuff.

2009- dusty with good dark cherries and hint of tobacco box.- Was awesome with smoked pork shoulder!

Got better after day 2...

Berry and rich flavors at first taste, then more leather and spice later with a nice long finish. Lingers in your palate with lovely complexity

Big fruity Bordeaux - great with a hearty stew. Needed an hour in the decanter and continued improving in the glass.
