Blanc de Lynch-Bages White Bordeaux Blend

A rich and beautifully shimmering gold color belies a nose that is salty like the sea, with some cut lawn grass and gooseberry. However nut and honey enhance and counter with a mild sweetness to the salty nose. The palate is firm and completely mineral and loaded with juicy acidity. Some of the saline comes through with a thrust of honeydew melon and tart yellow apples. Long and clean on the finish. The saline and nut aromas make me think of slight oxidation so if Lopez de Heredia whites are not your thing avoid this vintage. Highly acidic, mineral, great balance and beautiful complexity

Rich with stone fruits, citrus & notes of straw, honey, wax & chalk.

Citrus & tropical fruits, full bodied, rich & balanced with good acidity.

Great vintage for this Bordeaux blanc. Drank well upon release & still fresh with good acidity & showing peach, & tropical fruits.

Unicorn white Bordeaux. The smell of green peppers blew off and this wine revealed minerality and complexity..... Affordable for a few more years..'m but not many.

A unicorn white from this historic property. Smelled of green pepper and grapefruit with zest of lime and lemon. Tremendous effort and wonderful with food..... This was a pleasant surprise.

Man Wah at Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong. Lots of acid and very floral. Good w Chinese food. Interesting.

Intense honeydew and melon, summer in a glass :)
