Time for #AgedWineTuesday. Here is a nice one from Saint Julien.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

On the nose, red cherries, blueberries, sweet raspberries, oak, licorice, spices, cloves and earth.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black cherries, raspberries, wood, light vanilla, licorice, light vegetables, earth, leather, dark chocolates, tobacco and spices.

Medium plus on the finish with tangy raspberries and soft tannins.

This is a nice Left Bank red, the Second Wine from this château. Showing mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel.

Tangy and fruity. Good by itself and better with food.

This 10 year old from the great 2010 vintage is starting to drink nicely now, but needs 5 to 10 years in the bottle to mature property and balance itself out.

Needs 3 hours to open up properly.

Wine Enthusiasts 92 points. Thank you Wendy for sharing.

I paired it with roast beef and mashed potatoes.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$90.

The true second wine of Leoville Las Cases. An elegant and subtle nose of red currants and cassis, a touch of oak but just enough the wine should eat up in time. The palate is medium+ body, with elegance and typicity of a deep Cabernet from a great year. The acidity is outstanding and supremely fresh. The tannin are young, firm but long and this wine will only gain with more time in the bottle. #notthemarquis

This is a wine that is interesting less Cabernet Sauvignon it kind of tumbles into a Bordeaux blend cedar spice and currants (subtle) this might age really nicely

Decanted for 3 hours. Ruby-purple color. Violet aromatics. Sour cherry, cassis, pencil shavings. Balanced tannins. Drinking beautifully. Part 2 of filet dinner.
