vintage 2022 | Finally! Le Puy has been on my bucketlist for years. Icon of nature wines. Winemaking with little or non interventions. Right bank Bordeaux. It is a wonderful wine, 22 is drinking fine now. Cassis, leather, clove and laurel. Warmth. Fine structure. It made my dinner with steak frites. At restaurant Amsterdam in Amsterdam.

Biodynamic Bordeaux. Rather on red fruits, oaky, vanilla, roasted notes. Supple, greedy mouth with very present tannins but very round and well integrated. Acid backbone suggest few years more in a cellar.
Bordeaux biodynamique. Plutôt sur les fruits rouges, notes d’élevages boisées, vanillées, torréfiées. Souple,bouche gourmande aux tanins bien présents mais très ronds et bien fondus. La trame acide marquée (pas trop) suggère encore quelques années de garde.

Soft, plush, and very pure…cherry, spices, dark chocolate. Some initial funk that blows off. Tannins softened, this is drinking very well right now.

Amazing natural bordeaux, the oak shines through amidst the intense cherry and earthy spices. Medium length finish with well massaged tannins.

A fascinating blast to the past in Bordeaux, a living museum winery that makes the wine exactly the same as 100 years ago, worth seeking out and trying for the history lesson. Tasty too, lots of classic savory Bordeaux characters (cigar, tea, etc), and lighter "claret" balance.
