on a Bordeaux kick lately. 06 Cru Bourgeois. very mature at this point, nose is heavy on pencil shavings and tobacco leaf. palate is the same, very tertiary flavor profile. fruit is very muted at this point. it’s nothing particularly special other than a classic mature bordeaux.

JR sourced library wine in 2013! Enticing ripe floral darker fruit spicy nose and lively palate with good finish. Said to be classic old school Medoc and what a nice wine. Better than previous notes on CVed bottle. Last one and already at peak. Yum.

This is great. Love the nose and feel like the palate is more integrated. Cherries, herbs, rock, peppercorn, plum. Something green and earthy in a good way. Drinking great.
