Vintage 2012 | 5 hours decant, the wine gives a lot of cassis and cherries in smell, laurel, silky taste with beautiful balance. Made of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Vieilles vignes. Vigneron Fabien Lalanne. Good effort. Paired with grilled entrecôte and vegetables.

Vintage 2012 | Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vieilles vignes. 12 months barrel aging. A dramatic difference in day 1 (pop and pour with a stew) and day 2. Solid decent Bordeaux in day 1 with nice fruit but a bit stubborn in taste. Now on day 2 beautiful vanilla and cherries, silk taste, with a lot of charm. Beautiful aged wine, still potential to age further.

Vintage 2014 / I wanted a classic French wine in honour of Bastille Day. Decanted two hours in advance.. Developed very well in the last 24 months. Classic smell with laurel, chocolate, forrestwood. Well balanced taste. If the vintner can make such a good wine in’14 how will the wine taste from a great year? Interesting domaine in Graves to follow. / Paired with a Boeuf Brochette and cheeses.

Vintage 2014 - crimson rim, very dark colour, very young and less accessible than other Bordeaux I tasted from 14. There are promising hints of cherries in the smell, laurel, leather-tones and a hint of chocolate and mocca. Powerfull in taste. Partly made of 'vieilles vignes' and one can taste this. Good concentration. Promising domain. #bordeaux #graves #vieillesvignes #cabernetsauvignon #merlot
