All the elegance you would expect from a great Margaux, in an excellent, if often underrated vintage

Really open and aromatic with forest floor and red currant flavors. Floral, elegant, true Margaux in style.

Smoke & red fruit. Not at the peak of it's game, but pretty intriguing.

Was expecting more from this bottle. This is mostly a bit of tannins and oak on the finish and some middling dark red fruit on the palate. Maybe a bit over the hill?

Just a portrait of elegance. You could sniff the cedar & red currant perfume all night long. On the fuller side of medium bodied, structure yielding to secondary complexity, elegance and power working in harmony.

Very nice. Definitely takes some good time to open up, and naturally much better with food (classically excellent pairing with some nice prime steak). Nose actually doesn't give me a ton, but nice dark red fruit and earth on the palate with a long finish, smooth tannins, and a balanced amount of acid to hold it together. Definitely serve closer to 60 degrees than room temp.

Wonderful! You can smell the oaky flavor immediately. It first hits you with fruity flavor and then hits you with a wonderful rich Merlot flavor. It all ends with a lasting spicy oak finish.
