Good sauternes from a great vintage. Golden with a slight watery hem, though with ample legs; well-defined nose of apricots, orange marmalade, and honey (with a hint of plantains?); a little low on acid but still enough to bin it all together. Decent weight and length. A very good Stilton and pâté wine!

Lovely Maderized nose with a medium dark yellow/brown color & a medium fairly complex, but highly alcoholic taste & aftertaste that detracts from an otherwise nice wine.

Not an opulent wine, but like many '01s in Bordeaux, balanced with excellent acid. In a very good place for drinking, especially if you have some peach pie on hand
