Nose of plum, blueberry, soy sauce,and leather. Flavors of blue and black fruits, with pepper, leather, spice. Finishes long and dry with black fruits, oak, and leather. Drink now and over the next 5 years.

Beautiful wine, drank over 3 days...Oozing blueberry, vanilla, spice, black plum, deep earth and dried herbs....acid medium + and long finish...drank by itself...

2010 right bank Bordeaux, Jonathan Malthaus does it again. New world approach to the old world. Terrific example of Jonathan's skill.

The essence of St Emillion. Cholcolate and blueberries, set against an old world backdrop. Delicious.

Jammy, with fruit and moss notes -

Lovely cherry, strawberry and fine liquorice notes on the nose with supple round tannin that shows great depth. Needs a good hour to open up. Delicious merlot pairs well with a roasted lamb.

Big & bold. Long legs and mouth feel.

This is surprisingly great immediately on opening. Has a great balance of dark fruit and forest floor. Tannins are soft and integrated and it has enough acidity to back it up without losing the velvet feel.

Some of the best Merlot
