Not Sauternes proper but omg good stuff

This rich, golden, sweet wine smells like honey and dried apricots. There's a layer of earthy minerals, a chalkiness, that beautifully counterpoints the sweetness. On the palate, a viscous mouthfeel carries marmalade-like fruit flavors along on a subtle wave of acidity. This is dessert on its own, but why limit such a wonderful wine? Have it with hard cheese, almonds or a lobster roll.

Developing beautifully, exceptional value

Lovely medium gold color. Nice botrytis notes of apricot and caramel augmenting pineapple and citrus. Lighter than a Sauternes and that's all to the good. Good length. Lovely with Roquefort and with foie gras

Golden, sweet sun incarnate

96 -- what?!?! Addictive.

First bottle we had in many years. Was nice and fresh but not as complex as our recollection from great vintages.

Very standard Sauternes based on not a ton of experience. It did have a nice herbal quality. Not insanely sweet.
