Vintage 1998 - powerfull, a difficult phase? Difficult to taste. Lots of bitters.

Lagrange is by far my favorite St Julien producer. This 2006 is extremely youthful with a relatively oaky entrance, a spicy red cherry mouth feel, and a long complex finish. This could be kept for at least 10 more years easily - and this is saying from my experience drinking a number of bottles from this magnificent chateau in the past year.

Funky asparagus on the nose. Blew off and turned into a nice bottle. Not my favorite.

Tastes like aged Montelena, hot Vintage which shows in the cherry reduction character, little mint and chocolate. Solid.

Drinking beautifully silky tannins, tobacco, smoke, still fruit alive.
