Christmas Eve dinner 2018. 1500ml
@Delectable Wine This is the Denis Durantou Château Le Chenade Lalande-de-Pomerol, Red Bordeaux Blend, thanks.
Nose is blueberry, mocha dust and wet oak bark.
Palate has fine tannins, cherry, under-ripe blackberry, plum skin and faint green pepper.
A bottle likely enjoyed to young, this 2014 would likely be in a better drinking window in 2022-24.

Dec 22nd, 2018Huge surprise. Did not feel like drinking Bordeaux, felt more like velvet and silk on the palate with violets. Extraordinary value.
