Like the Roger Miller song “I’ve Been A Long Time Leaving, Now I’ll Be A Long Time Gone”.
Cork held up and came out smooth. Garnet/ruby color. Nose is old and green. Sous bois, tomato vine, and marrow. Fine silky texture. Would’ve guessed Loire Cabernet Franc in a blind. Past peak, but still fascinating to pick apart the development.

Sipping Fine Wine

Blend of 79% Cabernet, 14% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, deep Ruby with rich fruit aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry and currants, with notes of licorice, tobacco, some floral and spicy oak. Fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, oak and spice. Nice but needs more bottle age, should last another 10 years. Nice!

Excellent structure, rich fruit, very lively for its age. Nicely integrated. Aromas of pencil lead, dark fruit and coffee grounds. Drank w AK when GrandEl was in town.
