From the Gaye family estates 17 acres, aromas of black fruits and spice. On the palate red & black fruit flavors with cacao, espresso and spice notes. Firm tannins, good balance ending with fruit and oak.

Black and red fruits. Hint of menthol and cigar box aromas on the nose. Intense. Smooth and well integrated tannins. Long finish. Very good.

Good drinking on #Etihad in flight Brisbane-Singapore; interesting pouring style; cabin staff offer traveller a taste instead of checking for faulty wine first! This Bordeaux not mature but interesting 70/30 merlot/ franc split has good red fruits and tobacco roundness; 10 yrs+

Soft but with character, like a good Red Bank wine should be. Lots of cranberry sauce, blueberry cobbler, and clay aromas with hints of cigar box coming through. Tasty, easy to drink for a Bordeaux, but not as earthy as I'd expect. That said, very solid wine for the price and a good way to trick anti-Merlot Sideways snobs into trying something they claim not to like.

2013 Vintage - The body was a beautiful ruby with a tinge of garnet. On the nose, dark cherries, blackberries, cassis, oak, leather and camphor. In the mouth, the medium body had plum and cherry notes. Some oak, leather and cigar were also present and softenned tannins that somehow didn't seem to integrate that well, and notes of barnyard. Very short finish that just make you go "huh". Decanted for a few hours. Beware of residue at the bottom.I was disappointed in this wine, as I really wanted to like it, but it fell flat for me.

Amazingly bright vibrant colour. Nose is slightly spicy, dark fruits. Smooth on the palate, medium body and elegant. Nice tannins, licorice. Will buy a few to try again in 2+ years.
