From the Gaye family estates 17 acres, aromas of black fruits and spice. On the palate red & black fruit flavors with cacao, espresso and spice notes. Firm tannins, good balance ending with fruit and oak.

Black and red fruits. Hint of menthol and cigar box aromas on the nose. Intense. Smooth and well integrated tannins. Long finish. Very good.

Good drinking on #Etihad in flight Brisbane-Singapore; interesting pouring style; cabin staff offer traveller a taste instead of checking for faulty wine first! This Bordeaux not mature but interesting 70/30 merlot/ franc split has good red fruits and tobacco roundness; 10 yrs+

Amazingly bright vibrant colour. Nose is slightly spicy, dark fruits. Smooth on the palette, medium body and elegant. Nice tannins, licorice. Will buy a few to try again in 2+ years.

Deep red fruit, nice tannic level, nice balance of dry and fruit. Possibly a little young, would look to revisit in another year or two.

2004 vintage drank in January 2020.
Nose is slight barnyard, overripe cherry, a little menthol, raisin. dried red flowers. Taste is overripe cherry, blueberry, raisin, menthol, tobacco. A bit flabby at 16yrs. Tannins are soft. Decanted for 1 hour.
