Really fun. Dark fruits, rustic earth, hint of meaty spice. For the price, I’m sold. Food? Yes please!

Had this at The Cru Wine Bar in the Woodlands as part of a flight. This was my favorite of the three.

Less fruit, more herbs and minerals in the nose. Lots of tannins, overall earthy and rustic. Online Malbec Class 5/28 #gotm2020

Blackberry and spice, earthy funk. Tastes medieval in a food way. Medium-bodied, long finish.

Ok. Hard to find a good Malbec from traders. Probably good for the price. A little runny but overall pleasant.

Full bodied and tanic but with lifted fruit on the nose and pallet. Reminded me in some subtle ways of a fruitier styled Syrah, with some light floral and blue fruit flavors. Better day 2, and could stand to lay down for a couple of years. Not bad!

Absolutely exactly like the wonderful black wine we enjoyed as we travelled thru Cahors last fall. Don’t miss this one, it will save you a ‘couple thousand in airfare:)
