Dry Tokaji Furmint Blend

Blend of Furmint 85%, Hárslevelu 10% and Yellow Muscat 5%, pale lemon color with aromas of stone fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of apple, citrus and floral notes. Medium+ finish ending with ripe fruit and spicy mineral character.

If I were to taste this blind I’d guess Loire Sauvignon, such is the fresh, lean and vibrant profile of this Tokaji Furmint. Apple, lime, peach and blossom notes are graced with a highly mineral finish. This is drinking very well now at five years of age. Not my kind of white, but a great accompaniment to seafood pasta.

Vintage 2013, crisp wine citrus, lively, good balance! Partnered it with pheasant paté and cranberry jelly. 85% furmint, 8% muscat and 7% kabar.

Smells like Pabiot Pouilly-Fume. Drinks like the opposite!

This Furmint Dry Tokaji battles fiercely and well for a deservedly-earned place in this enthusiast's mindshare, alongside the finer dry Sauterne.
