I thought it was Ontario when I tasted blind. It had pronounced minerality on the nose and the palate, and this flavour that is so reminiscent of Niagara. It was good.

An interesting stage, not in its prime but not yet fully over the hill. Great earthy minerality but too much plummy dried fruit. Not much linger, with a bit of an abrupt bitter finish.

Good tannins still, I think it's lacking a bit of acidity, but still well balanced. Probably would have benefitted from some breathing but we didn't decant it in the restaurant.
