Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend

This Right Bank Bordeaux is bright Ruby red, from a blend of Merlot (80%), rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Fresh red fruit with cedar spice aromas. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with some cacao and licorice notes, adding oak and mineral tones. Fine tannins, medium finish, good balance with fruit, ending with smoky oak character, drink now on the younger side, no real benefit from long-term aging.

Vintage 2010 | Is getting better in shape, I wrote four years ago. But to really enjoy a wine in all dimensions you need to wait. I like matured wine and this Pomerol gets a velvety expression and beautiful tertiary tones.

Prune, raisin, mostly desiccated red and blue fruits. Less green than 2006, more aromatic lift.

Lingering finish, smooth, with complex ending. Best to consume on the younger side, no real benefit from long-term aging. Reasonably price, good value.

Vintage 2010 / stable, brushwood, leather, chocolate impression in taste. Is getting better in shape.
